Anhar Institute is devoted towards the development of Youth Directors and Youth Groups throughout the American Muslim Community by virtue of training, consultation, programming and the establishment of Youth Centers.
Our Team
Br. Asad Ansari has served as a youth director in multiple communities including Nashville (TN), Columbus (OH) and St. Louis (MO) over the last 9 years. In 2018, he served as the Executive Director of the Islamic Center of Tennessee and currently serves as the Executive Director of the Muslim Interscholastic Tournament (MIST) and as an Area Manager for Helping Hand Relief and Development Southeast. He completed his Bachelors at the University of Tennessee Knoxville and completed the seminary program at Tayseer Seminary.

Br. Ziad Maqbool grew up in St. Louis, Missouri where he attended Saint Louis University. Throughout his high school and college years, Br. Ziad served on MYSTL (Muslim Youth of Saint Louis) and served as an officer on the MSA (Muslim Student Association) He moved to Nashville, TN in 2019 to participate in the inaugural year of the Youth Director Training Program which he completed. He currently serves as the Administrator at Nashville International Academy and the Director of Nashville Programming for Anhar Institute.

Br. Sarwar Kokoy was born and raised in Nashville, TN. A graduate of Hume Fogg and Lipscomb Academy, he serves as brothers coordinator at various youth programs across the Middle Tennessee Area. He currently serves as the Associate Director of MIST Nashville.
