NIA After School Program:
Anhar Institute is partnering with Nashville International Academy to create an after school program aimed at providing 7th - 9th grade students an opportunity to experience programming provided for public school students. Specifically, we are planning to formulate teams and compete in Model United Nations and the Muslim Interscholastic Tournament (MIST).
For both of these programs we will be providing a Youth Coordinator as the coach. This coordinator will be fully responsible for the teams at each tournament. Model UN will occur in the fall and MIST in the spring. Our coordinator will conduct weekly meetings with the students in order to prepare for each tournament.
On Mondays, for Model UN, each student will work to prepare a bill as a representative, and our coordinator will utilize these meetings to help them understand how to prepare and revise.
On Tuesdays, the coordinator will hold sports practices, prep sessions for the academic competitions and writing workshops for the writing/oratory competitions regarding MIST.
